Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 14, 2026 · Pay That Man His Money, LLC

The privacy of your data — and it is your data, not ours — is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights with respect to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.

This policy applies to all products built and maintained by Pay That Man His Money, LLC ("Company", "we", "us"), including PayThatManHisMoney.com and the Pay That Man His Money mobile app (collectively, the "Services").

What We Collect and Why

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what that means in practice:

Identity & Access

When you sign up for the Service, we ask for your email address. That's it. We use this to identify your account and send you transactional emails (e.g., email confirmation). We'll never sell your personal information to third parties.

Poker Session Data

You provide poker session data including buy-in, cash-out, game type, location, notes, opponent tracking, tags, and bankroll information. This is the core of the service — we store it so you can track and analyze your poker performance. We do not access, review, or share your session data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Billing Information

If you sign up for a paid plan, your billing information is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank account details on our servers. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

Website Interactions

We use third-party analytics tools to understand how people use our service in aggregate. These tools may collect information such as pages visited, session duration, approximate geographic location (derived from IP address), browser type, device type, and referring URLs. Analytics data may be processed on servers outside your country of residence. We do not use any advertising trackers, and we do not share your personal data with analytics providers for advertising purposes.

Anti-Abuse & Bot Protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection on login, registration, and other forms. Turnstile may collect a limited amount of data to verify you're a human, including your IP address and browser metadata. This data is processed by Cloudflare under their privacy policy.

When We Access or Share Your Information

We don't sell your data. We never have, and we never will.

We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • To provide the service. We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
  • When required by law. If we are compelled by a valid legal request (e.g., a subpoena, court order, or government demand), we may disclose information. We will notify you if legally permitted to do so.
  • To protect rights and safety. If we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm to you, us, or others.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract. Processing your account and session data is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Consent. Analytics cookies are only set after you opt in via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interest. We may process limited data (e.g., server logs) to maintain security and prevent abuse.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Stripe, Google) operate. These transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards as required by GDPR.

Your Rights

We respect your rights over your data. Depending on where you live, you may have certain legal rights including:

GDPR Rights (EU/EEA/UK Residents)

  • Right of access. You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification. You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"). You can request that we delete your personal data.
  • Right to data portability. You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to restrict processing. You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Right to object. You can object to our processing of your personal data.
  • Right to withdraw consent. Where processing is based on consent (e.g., analytics cookies), you can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

CCPA Rights (California Residents)

  • Right to know. You can request details about the personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Right to delete. You can request that we delete your personal information.
  • Right to opt-out of sale. We don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of — but you still have this right under California law.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We won't treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@paythatmanhismoney.com. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner if required by applicable law).

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences (like language and theme). These are necessary cookies — the service can't function properly without them.

We also use analytics cookies to help us understand how people use the service in aggregate (e.g., which pages are most visited, session duration, device type). Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent through the cookie banner. You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link on our website or in the app.

We do not use any advertising or tracking cookies. If you decline analytics cookies, no usage data is collected and the service works the same way.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days before being permanently removed.

If you'd like your data deleted sooner, email us at legal@paythatmanhismoney.com.

Data Security

We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase's managed infrastructure, which implements industry-standard security practices. Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel only.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we'll make an effort to notify you (for example, by posting a notice in the app).
