About the Founder
Pay That Man His Money is built by Matthew Adams. He has been writing code since 1982 — mostly backend systems, as a software architect, engineer and consultant. He is a founding co-committer of Spring Data Cassandra and served on the JDO and JPA Java expert groups.
He also plays $1/$3 no-limit hold'em — since college in 1986, and seriously since around 2000. He had tracked his sessions for years before this app existed, and that history was the first thing he imported into it. What he wanted was not a record but the analysis on top of one: hourly rate by stake and by room, trends across months, and a way to ask a question without building a report first. So he built it. The numbers in his testimonial on the home page are his own.
